How to Find Us

Our sessions take place at Cults Quarry Woods, Crathes Woods and Dunnottar Woods. You will receive further information on how to get there and where to park upon signing up.

See the How to Book page for current days and times of our sessions. Further sessions may be added in the near future – do keep an eye on our Facebook page for regular updates.

See below for details of each of our locations.

Crathes Woods

After paying for parking at the car park, walk up towards the Cafe, where we will meet you in the courtyard before the start of the session.

After the session, why not enjoy some of the many other things Crathes Castle has to offer – lunch at the Cafe, a stroll around the magnificent walled garden, or a play at the Adventure Playground (depending on seasonal opening times).

Cults Quarry Woods

We will meet in the Hillview Community Church car park before the start of the session. The church is located next to Cults Primary School.

If you are travelling by No 19 bus, get off at Quarry Road, from where the church car park is just a 10 min walk.

After the session, feel free to further explore these beautiful woodlands, which link to Ladyhill, Foggieton and Countesswells woods.

Dunnottar Woods

Dunnottar Woods are on the south side of Stonehaven. You can walk to the woods from the town, using a number of entrances between Carron Gardens and Woodcot Brae: it’s a short, steep climb into the woods.

Coming from the A957 (a continuation of Dunnottar Avenue, if travelling from Stonehaven town), turn onto the unclassified road just north of the junction with the A92 dual carriageway. Ignore the car park at the top and follow the narrow road all the way down to a give way triangle. Turn left here and then almost immediately right again into which leads to our meeting point in the Quarry Car Park.

If coming off the A92 dual carriageway, turn left onto the unclassified road and follow all directions as above.

If coming to the woods via Low Wood Road, keep left at the fork (rather than right which would take you to Dunnottar Church), then turn left into the Quarry car park.
